Research focus:
In her teaching activity, Zuzana Štofková addresses the psychological aspects of managerial work, ethical questions in economics, human resource management issues, and communication techniques in managerial work. She completed her studies at the Faculty of Operation and Economics of Transport and Communications, University of Žilina, in the field of Business Economics and Management, as well as at the Faculty of Medicine, Comenius University in Bratislava, in General Medicine. In her research activity, she focuses on quality of life, managerial psychology, ethical principles in managerial work, as well as selected issues of human resource management. She has participated in the solution of several research projects within the APVV, VEGA, KEGA, and Erasmus schemes. She was principal investigator of the projects VEGA 1/0696/16, Design of a Methodology for Measuring Quality of Life in a Regional Context, and VEGA 1/0460/22, Socio-Economic Consequences of the COVID-19 Pandemic in the Context of Quality of Life, both of which were successfully completed. She is the author of a scientific monograph published by a foreign publisher, “Sustainable Socio-Economic Development,” co-author of a domestic monograph, four university textbooks, and more than a hundred original scientific papers, most of which have been published in foreign peer-reviewed journals or as outputs from international scientific conferences. Among the most significant journals in economics and management in which she has published her outputs are Administrative Sciences, World, Frontiers in Public Health, Applied Sciences, and Sustainability. Her work has received almost 300 citations. She is a guest editor of a special issue of the journal Sustainability (MDPI). During her time at Faculty PEDAS, she has actively participated in domestic and international scientific conferences in Slovakia and abroad. She has completed several international mobilities within the Erasmus programme at universities in Germany and Poland. She has been, and remains, a member of the scientific committee of the international scientific conference “Development of the Beskydy Euroregion,” as well as a member of the scientific committee of the international scientific conference held at the Academy of Applied Sciences in Poland, “The Economy in Virtual Reality.”
