Research Focus:
The research interests of Ing. Jakub Michulek, PhD. include marketing communication and issues related to pathological relationships in the workplace. He completed his entire academic education at the Faculty of Operation and Economics of Transport and Communications at the University of Žilina in the field of Business Economics and Management. His master’s thesis focused on internal marketing communication within a selected company. His dissertation examined pathological workplace relationships and proposed a methodological approach for monitoring, eliminating, and preventing such relationships in medium and large enterprises operating in the Slovak Republic. In his scientific research, he focuses on interdisciplinary research related to the dynamics of organizational behavior, digital transformation, behavioral performance factors, and ethical aspects of business within changing socio-economic conditions. He has participated in several scientific research projects within VEGA projects, as well as in structural projects. He is a co-author of more than thirty original scientific papers, most of which have been published in foreign peer-reviewed journals or as outputs of international scientific conferences. Among the most significant journals in his field where he has published are Agriculture, Frontiers in Psychology, Administrative Sciences, Stats, and the Journal of International Studies. His works have received more than 100 citations. He currently works at the Department of Economics as an assistant professor. During his tenure at the Department of Economics, he teaches seminars and practical classes in the following subjects: Financial Analysis and Planning, Marketing, International Business, Organization of Managerial Work, Corporate Planning, and Strategic Marketing.
