Scientific research focus:

doc. Ing. Ján Dvorský, PhD., is a scientific expert in the field of application of mathematical and statistical methods in the conditions of business economics and financial management of the company. His professional profile was formed during his studies in Quantitative Methods in Economics at FHI EU in Bratislava, which he followed up with a bachelor's degree in Statistics at FMFI UK in Bratislava. He completed his doctoral studies at the FBI of the University of Žilina in Žilina and completed his habilitation at the Tomas Bata University in Zlín, Faculty of Management and Economics in the field of Business Management and Economics. In its scientific and research activity, it focuses cross-sectionally on risk management in the conditions of the business environment in the SME segment, or issues of strategic management of the company: i) prediction of the financial health of the company, ii) risk management in the company, iii) business sustainability, iv) quantification of business risks and v) optimization of financial resources in the SME segment. With its scientific and research activities, management of bachelors, graduates and doctoral students and young scientific workers, it creates the necessary basis for the application and implementation of risk management in small and medium-sized enterprises. It also participates in research of a transnational nature, publishing in recognized foreign scientific journals. He is a member of the editorial boards of renowned scientific journals. He completed study stays in the Czech Republic, Poland and Croatia.
